- 1. How much does a custom site cost?
- We have pricing options to fit most budgets (the example sites you see above are all from group C below):
- A) Semi-Custom Template sites begin around $349 and go up to $999, where we add your logo, colors, extra pages and other minor cosmetic changes to one of our pre-built templates seen here: http://www.mivamerchant.com/products/skins/
- B) Semi-Custom Framework sites begin at $1,000 and go up to $7,999. These are the virtual equivalent to customized tract homes. The architecture is already built and can not be changed but the look and feel is built specifically for you to work on top of one of our professionally designed Miva Merchant Frameworks. Your cost is dependent on the complexity of your design and third party integrations added to the site.
- C) Fully custom sites like the examples shown on top of this page begin at around $8,000 and can go upwards of $35,000 or more. These sites were built exactly to our clients' needs from the ground up and the cost is fully dependent on the features you want and the complexity of the project.
- 2. How long does the process take to build a new store?
- Typically, total time line for a custom Miva Merchant store is about 12 weeks from start to finish. It can be longer for larger projects.
- 3. If I upgrade from Miva Merchant 4 to Miva Merchant 5.5, what happens to my search engine rankings?
- We understand the importance of keeping your current rankings with the search engines. We always make sure to use proper 301 redirects to ensure any link from your old site gets properly redirected to the new page on the new site. This will tell Google and the other search engines that your pages have moved and it will transfer all your current rankings over to the new pages.
- 4. In upgrading from Miva Merchant 4 to Miva Merchant 5.5 do I have to upgrade all my modules?
- Yes. Most modules will need to be repurchased except for ones that have been built into the software. We will analyze your current Miva Merchant 4 store and let you know which modules need to be repurchased and include them in your quote.
- 5. Will there be any down time when my new site goes live?
- No. We will develop your new Miva Merchant store on a development environment. Once it is ready to go live we can make the change instantly. This allows zero downtime during the site launch.
- 6. Will you transfer all my product, customer data and images?
- Yes. If you have a Miva Merchant 4 store we are able to transfer all your store settings, customer data, product data and images to the new Miva Merchant 5.5 store.
- 7. What happens after my store goes live? Do you have any Maintenance Plans?
- Yes. We have the Miva Merchant Design Club which give you priority access to our design and development team. This allows you to get updates and changes to your site done in a timely manner without needing a web developer on staff.
